Viewing the arcade environment with two joysticks

Hi all

In my original cab I have two joysticks, spinner and trackball, and I can move around the arcade with one of the joysticks and move my head with the trackball. That's all good.

I have a few other cabs I intend to do this with but for now they each just have two joysticks and I'm struggling ...

Re: Running Deniro's Damned Dungeon in the Unity build - or running the original 0.96 FE on Windows 11

Yeah, I had 0.96 running pretty well on Windows 10, but then I did some kind of update to my graphics drivers and poof!, it was gone. I ended up having to buy an old Win7 laptop just to get a setup running again. I've also done the VM thing, but it's jerky and not great for gameplay (unless you go ...

Running Deniro's Damned Dungeon in the Unity build - or running the original 0.96 FE on Windows 11

Hi all,

Not been in this forum for a VERY long time! I built a MAME cab back in 2010 running the original 0.96 FE under XP (thank you again to all of you who helped me get that operational!). I was running DeNiro's Damned Dungeon (SUCH an awesome environment!) with heavy customisation for the cabs ...

Yep that works - and it doesn't (seem to) affect mouselook in FPS either - thanks guys. However is there a variable to set the speed it scrolls with as it's very slow -something like the one for mouselook maybe?

Thanks again

Wow you don't hang about do you Peter!

Thanks for coming back so quickly. However I have been having trouble finding the right skin file. In my skins folder there are loads of files - see one of my other threads m - do you know which one is the default for the 3DArcade DVD 2.0 project please ...

Remove cab captions from the top of the screen in FPS?

Hi guys

Sorry for all the questions - I am getting there, honest!! - latest thing is, my arcade monitor is an old Hantarex MTC9000 which cannot display the extreme top and bottoms of the screen, it cuts about half a text line off from each. This makes it very hard to read the captions for the ...

Is there anyway of scrolling up and down the list view with the trackball rather than U360 #1 at all please?

Cheers all

Yes the filter menu has this option. And you can also use the gamelist manager to sort and then save the gamelist.

Hi Peter

I used the gamelist manager to sort the gamelist alphabetically but it moved all the cabs around in my arcade (it didn't take into account the positions in the arcade ...

Thanks Fossil.

I've had a look around but there are soooo many files in the Skins folder! What's the name of the default skin from the 3DArcade DVD please? I've not changed it (although I have hidden it by configuring to automatically launch DeNiro's Dungeon in FPS without interaction) but I can ...

FPS Arcade defaults to displaying 1st caption from gamelist

Hi guys

When I launch my 3DArcade in FPS mode the caption at the top of the screen always defaults to the caption for the game at the top of the game list, not the one I'm standing in front of. As soon as I move the joystick it picks up the new caption after a couple of seconds. However I'd like ...

Alphabetical gamelist

Hi guys

As I go around my arcade inserting cabs, when I go into the gamelist it's sorted in time order, oldest first. Is there any way of sorting alphabetically instead please?

Many thanks

Thanks Fossil

I fixed it by kind of following your suggestion: I went into movecabs mode and saved then relaunched but it didn't help, so instead I just walked around in FPS until I found the offending cab, deleted it, closed and relaunched then reinserted it.

Cheers

Can you get rid of "...Initializing 3darcade..."?

Hi guys

When you first launch 3DArcade can you stop it saying "...Initializing 3darcade..."? I've looked in the main fe.cfg and the cfg for the arcade I'm launching (Deniro's Dungeon) but can't find that string anywhere in there.

Many thanks
