List view with trackball? Also list view bug question

Post by Diewrecked Verified »

Hi guys

I have set up my cab with two U360 joysticks and a trackball. Is there anyway of scrolling up and down the list view with the trackball rather than U360 #1 at all please?

Also, bit of a weird one. I'm using DeNiro's Dungeon as my arcade of choice (good work!!!) and have populated it with my own cabs by simply removing all the cabs in the cfg and replacing with the same number of cabs C&P'd from the main list. Everything seems fine except when I go to launch one game: there is a Vanguard cab in the arcade, and if I walk around it in FPS mode and walk up to it it launches fine - but if I scroll to it in List mode then go back to FPS it positions me in front of the end of some random wall somewhere totally different!! Any ideas please?

Many thanks in advance

For the Deniro's Dungeon thingy, you now have a set of games in your gamelist that does not correspond to the locations BY NAME of the cabs in your arcade configuration file. Look in your arcade configuration file, near the bottom, and check the value of the "fixedpos" property. One way to fix this might be to set the "fixedpos" propert to false, then start a movecabs session while in the arcade ("b" is the default key for this). You shouldn't have to move anything, just start it, then end it by pressing "b" again, and then make sure to save your "changes" by pressing the "1" key. You may need to quit out of the fe, but when you come back in, check to see if the fps positions from listbox have improved.

Thanks Fossil

I fixed it by kind of following your suggestion: I went into movecabs mode and saved then relaunched but it didn't help, so instead I just walked around in FPS until I found the offending cab, deleted it, closed and relaunched then reinserted it.

Cheers

Sorry. Yes, there is, but I've never used it, so I can't testify to its reliability. There's a property in the fe.config file, section 4, called "mousescroll". Set it to |true|. This should allow you to use the trackball in list box mode, but it read the comments, as it can affect mouselook capability in fps mode.

Yep that works - and it doesn't (seem to) affect mouselook in FPS either - thanks guys. However is there a variable to set the speed it scrolls with as it's very slow -something like the one for mouselook maybe?

Thanks again

Move the mouse/trackbal horizontal that will make it scroll fast by page or letter if I remember correctly.
