Windows 10 April 2018 Update and 3D Arcade

Now, any attempt to load an FPS arcade will cause the frontend to hang. The frontend no longer works properly.

Yeah, I had to back out my NVidia drivers to an earlier version. Like 2 YEARS earlier. The issue is based on new video drivers no longer supporting Director.

I thought I try 3D Arcade with the graphics card I have in the PC now and because its a Radeon HD 5850 and uses old drivers from 2016, it works and loads up fine now.. so drivers from 2016 work with 3D Arcade and Director.

They are the Crimson Beta Drivers from 2016, the last driver they made for it, made by AMD for ATI Radeon HD 5850.
AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series, Driver version 15.301.1901.0, Driver Date: 26/02/2016.

I thought I post as much detail as I can about the drivers, it might help someone getting 3D Arcade to work,you should post about the driver your using that works with 3D Arcade, more info the better...

Tried to load Dammed Dungeon and 3D Arcade crashed, so big arcades don't load and the arcades that do load like Exhibition has graphical glitches and its light mapping don't work properly too. This is properly down to Windows 10 doing this and not the graphics driver.
Cylarcade works and the default arcade too.

It's odd, and doesn't seem to be consistent. I bought a new rig with a moderately high-end Nvidia card recently, with completely up-to-date drivers, fully expecting the fe not to run, and it popped right up with a fresh install. Oh every once in a while I have to try more than once to get it to come up, but once I'm in it's stable and fully functional. I guess there's just no telling.
